Diets are overwhelming and frustrating!
Diets drive me crazy, and to be honest, I’m fed up with them. I am tired of diets because there are so many kinds, and they are overwhelming! I realize the importance of looking after our bodies, especially with the quality of many of our food sources. However, with a full-time and part-time job, I barely have time for grocery shopping, let alone cooking. So, what do you think is the solution? Unfortunately, there isn’t a perfect answer. The key is to discover simple, quick, enjoyable, and delicious healthy meals to incorporate into our daily routines.
Did I say I am tired of Diets!!
This is a delicious-looking olive, meat, and cheese tray! And most of it is pretty healthy. That’s my story, and I’m going to prove it!
Throughout the years, I’ve experimented with various diets. Initially, I focused on calorie counting, which not only required keeping track of calories but also understanding their sources by reading labels. While I now find myself engrossed in label reading, there was a time when I had no inclination for it. Subsequently, I discovered the zone diet, which prioritizes obtaining essential nutrients from food rather than fixating on calorie counting. This approach appeared somewhat simpler yet posed its own set of challenges.
Yes! I am tired of Diets!!!
It is a pleasure to cook and prepare my meals, but there are times when I simply lack the time. I often prioritize others and work over myself, leading me to eat late at night and consume unhealthy food. As I’ve reached an age where maintaining a healthy diet is crucial, especially in keeping my A1C levels in check, I face a new challenge. I intend to explore online food services to see how they align with my needs and preferences. Ultimately, food should be nutritious and delicious, don’t you agree?
Frustration
This brings me back to my frustration with diets! I am tired of diets! My biggest concern is trusting the sources of our food. Numerous individuals believe they are maintaining a healthy diet, unaware they might not be. Recently, my daughter, Morgan, raised my awareness about the term “natural flavoring.” We are exploring this topic further as I consider its true implications. I trust her opinion, but I am eager to comprehend why this ingredient is permitted in numerous products.
Types of Diets
What is a diet? There are so many types of diets! The definition of a diet is a food regimen or typical pattern of eating. This could be a great diet or maybe you have a horrible diet and your doctor is telling you to change it. I am in that boat right now in my life and trying to change my eating habits. But, I don’t think after all the diets I have tried that I can stick to just one. I hope to find the perfect combination of good foods and live healthy. One of the most significant “diets” or “resets” I completed is called Whole30. The results are absolutely amazing. It is actually meant to train your brain to make healthy choices. What is this diet, you ask? No sugar, no starch, no dairy and no alcohol for 30 days. If you have to re-read that sentence, I completely understand. It sounds impossible.
- Atkins
- Jenny Craig
- Keto
- Noom
- Paleo
- Weight Watchers
- Whole30
- Zone
I’m not even sure these are all considered “diets” but they are popular in America. No one diet will ever work for everyone. This journey will help everyone choose what is best for them. Is it about loosing weight, controlling allergies, skin issues, acne; could be any number of things each individual faces. I hope you enjoy this journey!
Again Welcome!
For years, I have pursued different diets, and I now want to find a happy, healthy medium. While we have to eat well and take care of ourselves, I am determined to find a way to take the stress out of eating delicious food.
